Ercal 3000 Eretmocerurs Eremicus (Whitefly), is a parasitic wasp of the two existing whitefly species (Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporariorum) used in the greenhouse for the biological control of the whitefly. In addition to parasites, adults are also predators, feeding directly on whitefly larvae. As soon as the parasite is born, it leaves the molt with a perfectly round, yellow-hued hole. These molts are easily distinguished from normal whitefly molts, which are transparent white and with an opening consisting of two cross-shaped slits.

How to use

  • Open the box carefully inside the greenhouse.
  • Fold and tear off the strips on the opposite side from the installation hole.
  • Hang the cards between the crops about 75 cm below the top of the plant.
  • Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
  • Do not touch the pupae.
  • For an effective result, a minimum temperature of 20ºC is required for 24 hours. It can also be introduced at lower or higher temperatures up to 30ºC.
  • Beneficial biological organisms have a very short life cycle, so storage will be 1 to 2 days.
  • At a temperature of 8-10ºC and in a dark place.
  • They come in the form of parasitized pupae on a card to hang over the plants.
  • The dose is 1 card per plant.
