What is a check valve?

This type of check valve is used very commonly in all types of sectors, especially in agriculture and livestock or in the conduction of drinking water. For a 1″ (25mm) pipe, this type of anti-return valve is recommended.

How does the check valve work to the irrigation system?

It is located at the end of a hose or at the outlets of an irrigation tube with a suction pump. At this outlet point an artichoke is placed with the check valve, thus making the flow unidirectional and the liquid has no return capacity.
