Spidex 2000 phytoseiulus persimilis (araña roja) koppert

Spidec (pHytoseiulus persimilis) is a predatory mite for the biological control of the spider mite. It is the most used predator against this pest. An adult is capable of extracting 5 spiders a day or 20 eggs or larvae (it preys on all stages of red spider mites).

Due to its great capacity for preying and reproduction, it eliminates the pest completely, being the most effective predator against red spider mites. When applying them, there must be pests and the relative humidity must not be too low. Preventively introduce 10 per cutting and if there are focus of plague, introduce on the focus and surroundings at a dose of 50 per plant approximately.

Use Spidex as a healing method when the first symptoms of the pest are observed or as soon as the first spider mites appear (found on the underside of the leaves). In case of severe infestation, a shock treatment with an acaricide is recommended a few days before the predator is released to lower the level of pest to a minimum. Intensify the release in the areas with the greatest intensity of plague (foci).

How to apply

The recommended dose is about 100 individuals per square meter, repeating the application weekly up to a minimum of 3 applications (3 consecutive weeks).

Joint use with Spical is recommended.

Important

It is used as a curative. It only eats spider mites and eats all stages, especially the most advanced and adult ones. It is released where spider mite populations are seen.
